Imagining God: Mothering God

Mother’s Day isn’t a one-size-fits-all experience. Some are overjoyed. Some feel pain and heartache. Come and hear several reflections on the impacts and meaning of Mother’s Day to members of our congregation, as well as what it means to imagine a Mothering God.

Oil & Water: A Perfect Salad Dressing, Guest Preacher Dr. Eric Bishop

Like many my age, I was raised on School House Rock. And we learned there, and in school, about America being the “mixing pot.” But we now know that we are more of a salad, where our identities stand out, rather than be lost together. This sermon will reflect on the mixing of distinct identities that actually should blend us together rather than separate us as we sit in a time of confusion and conflict.
