Children are to be seen AND heard at La Verne Church of the Brethren. We accept them as full participants in our church life
From weekly candle lighting and scripture reading to sharing art work, we want children to feel so loved and welcomed that they see and experience the love of God in our faces, actions and words.
Children at the La Verne Church of the Brethren demonstrate practical acts of social justice, love and peacemaking throughout the year. They deliver handmade Valentines to residents at Hillcrest Retirement Community, raise money for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, collect food and donations for local shelters, and participate in Peace Camp, where they learn that living out what they believe is “just the right thing to do.”

A New Children’s Room Needs Your Help!
Our Children’s Room is currently under construction and in need of some TLC before we welcome the kids back this fall. We’re calling on our congregation for support—if you’re a handyman, know a bit about construction, roofing, plumbing, painting, or just have a willing heart and hands, we’d love your help!
All supplies will be provided by the church. We’re looking for skilled or willing volunteers who can donate their time and talents to help us create a safe, beautiful space for our children to learn and grow. Let’s build something special together!
If you would like to help, Please contact Jami at children@lavernecob.org or the office at office@lavernecob.org
